The Hip Drop Proudly Presents MATRIX - THE SHOW ZION Choreography: Kallum Richardson & Denice M Solberg Dancers: 1YEP and students from The Hip Drop Dance Complex In 2013 The Hip Drop started its first One Year International Education Program. 8 Selected students was chosen to be part of a life changing journey being trained for a year by teachers such as: S**t Kingz(Urban Movement/Foundations) Anthony Lee(Urban Movement) Tony Tzar(Urban Movement) Andye Jamieson(Urban Movement) David Moore(Urban Movement) Brice Professor Lock Johnson (Foundations, Freestyle, Locking) Jeppe "RobotBoys" (Isolations/Animations,Poppin) Toniah Pedersen(Urban Movement) Huyen Nguyen(Urban Movement, Grooves and Foundations) Michel Sian(Urban Movement) Jenny Major(Modern Jazz) Martin Svaneborg (Broadway Jazz) Sara Gaardbo(Modern & Floor Barre) Joel Brekke(Tap) Emilie Schack(Ballet) Sofia Nordgren(Yoga) Camilla Malmberg(Pilates) Karsten Mathiesen(Breakdance/Foundations/MusicTh­eory/HipHop History) Lin Samuelsen(Urban Movement/Business Classes/Teaching Classes) These teachers did not only teach them for 1 or 2 Classes. The Education Students got up to Two weeks of solid training by these teachers. Then they had surprise classes and extra classes with teachers such as: Mr.Wiggles(Poppin & HipHop History) Shaun Evaristo(Urban Movement) Jillian Meyers(Urban Movement) Jeka Jane(Urban Movement) Misha Gabriel(Urban Movement) more. They have been trained and have touched base with styles such as Urban Movement, Locking, Poppin, House, Waacking, Animation, Isolations, Freestyle Technique, Breakdancing, Pilates, Yoga, Ballet, Modern Jazz, Classical Jazz, Floor Barre and Tap. They got lectures in Dance History, Nutrition, Anatomy, Musical Theory and HipHop History. A 6 Weeks trip to Los Angeles was also a part of the Program. In Los Angeles they trained intensively for 6 weeks at studios such as Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, Millennium Dance Complex and The Movement Lifestyle Studio. They had a private class experience with teachers such as Jian Pierre Louis and Amanda Grind. They became a part of a performance with Tony Tzars Blacklight Society performing alongside some of the best dancers in L.A. They had a Q&A with MSA the biggest Dance Agency in Los Angeles. They had lectures in how to write a professional CV. They got a chance to train for a whole day with the world known GRV CREW. And as a finale to their education they were handed the opportunity to be a part of doing a whole Production. A production that gave them one of the biggest Theaters in Malmö as their stage. With Professional lights and a possibility to make a serious mark on their own future career. Down to writing the Manuscript, doing the stage decor, creating their own pieces of choreography and working with students from The Hip Drop Dance Complex.
