GRADIA PLUS injection technique https://www.gceurope.com/products/gradiaplus/ - Check the technical manual for more tips! GC GRADIA™ PLUS is a modular composite system for indirect restorations. This light-curable, nano-hybrid composite from GC has improved physical properties and offers a wide range of clinical applications, unsurpassed durability, natural opalescence and excellent, lifelike aesthetics. This video shows how easy it is to get a convincing, aesthetic result with minimum effort by using the injection technique with GRADIA™ PLUS Light Body pastes. With this technique a diagnostic wax-up; either printed, milled or hand-made, is translated into a highly aesthetic restoration. The injection technique is especially suitable for complicated implant cases or high-end crowns & bridges with a complex anatomy. In the CAD/CAM production centre, the gypsum model with implant Scan flags is scanned using the Aadva Lab Scan. The used Scan flags enable to reproduce the exact implant location with high precision and accuracy. After scanning the model in the Aadva® Lab Scan, a full anatomical, digital mock-up is designed and printed using GC Temp PRINT™and then digitally reduced to design the framework, which is milled in titanium. The mock-up is screwed onto the model and EXACLEAR, a clear vinyl polysiloxane allowing optimal light distribution, is used as gingiva mask. Then, the model is fixed into the flask with a putty with sprues fixed on the mock-up. Ideally, a sprue of Ø3.0 mm is used because this corresponds with the tip of the GRADIA PLUS Light Body syringes. Before closing the flask, the putty surface is coated with a bit of vaseline or a dedicated separator. Then, the entire flask is filled with a clear silicone and put into a pressure pot. Meanwhile, the titanium framework that was milled in GC’s CAD/CAM production centre is sandblasted and cleaned. METAL PRIMER Z is applied and left to dry. Thin layers of GRADIA PLUS Opaque are applied and light-cured for 1 minute with Labolight DUO. This is repeated until the metal is completely masked. For extra individualisation, darker or lighter shades of opaque can be used. When ready, the mock-up is removed from the model and replaced by the titanium framework, screwed onto the AadvaTM Implant model analogues. Cervical and occlusal areas are covered with small amounts of LB-orange and light-cured to create a warm, in-depth effect. LB-Base OD can be used to create a mamelon effect on the incisal edges. After closing the flask, Light Body A is injected. The composite should flow from sprue to sprue until it gently comes out. A finger is placed onto the channels with slight pressure.
