Owain K "A Test (KiNK Remix)" Loudeast Records 009 HD
LOUDEAST RECORDS presents LDS009 OWAIN K “A TEST EP” RELEASE DATE: 29 April 2009 1. A Test 2. A Test (KiNK Remix) 3. A Test (Mark Broom Back 2 Jack Remix) 4. Forms For our 9th reference we have a Bristol born vinyl junkie with a long experience in music, Mr. Owain K. Founding his own label ADSR Music back in 2004 and hailing from a musical family and encouraged to play the violin & saxophone, Owian draws on a variety of musical influences from Motown to Miles Davis via Public Enemy and The Clash. A principal he continues to express in his sets by encompassing the sounds of Chicago’s Acid House and Detroit Techno, roots that clearly appear on his two original tracks of “A Test EP”. “A Test” is a tribute to old school acid house, cooked with some electro breakdowns and ending with a detroity pad atmosphere. A strong dancefloor tool useful for both house and techno dj’s. A very mysterious man is the responsible for the first remix of “A Test”. We’re not really sure yet if he’s a 30 year old guy from Sofia, or maybe a phat black acid-house pioneer from Chicago, hiding in Bulgaria, with a fake identity... his name is KiNK and you might know him from his productions for Odori Recordings, Rush Hour, BOERecordings or maybe for his unique remixes for Johnny Fiasco or King Cosmic. His remix is a monster acidic tech house track that won’t fail in a late night set. The second remixer on this release needs no introduction. He´s Mark Broom; a truly prolific artist, who have worked with world renowned labels such as Mo-Wax, Warp, R&S, Soma, Ifach (with Baby Ford), Bpitch Control, Platzhirsch, Rotary Cocktail, Material and more recently 2020 Vision. Remixer of artists like Steve Rachmad, Ken Ishi, The Advent, Eddie Flashin Fowlkes, Ben Sims and more recently Mason on Great stuff. His personal re-interpretation of “A Test” is a massive techy bomb that will make you strongly move your feet. Finishing the EP we have another original track by Oawin “Forms”, a serious classic tech house track. A must! www.djnachomarco.com
