A/V Test 02 ~ Left/Righ Location and Channel Separation

24.05.2007
Left/Righ Location and Channel Separation LQ STEREO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkB2E_w4FUs HQ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF-ljYjOciM&fmt=18 [1] 1KHz 0dB Left 0:20 [2] 1KHz 0dB Right 0:20 These tests offer: [1] a pure 1,000Hz sine wave on left channel; [2] the same signal on right channel. If your system is correctly connected, you will hear first, only your left loudspeaker, then only the right loudspeaker. If not switch off your system and check the connections. If the balance control is in the center (normal) position, and if you are at a normal listening distance, you must hear nothing from your other loudspeaker (DO NOT INCREASE VOLUME LEVEL). If you hear something, that means a component of your system is mixing channels (the soundblaster, probably, the amplifier too). In a laboratory, you can verify manufacturer specification about channel separation (good values are above 60dB) (not-professional more expensive soundblasters will fail this test). Video: 320x240 MPEG-2 2Mbps CBR Audio: MPEG Layer II 48KHz 384Kbps Next: Frequency Response http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FWJ-Pbs1DM&fmt=18 WARNING: THE NEXT TEST CONTAINS HIGH LEVELS OF HIGH FREQUENCIES AND MUST NOT BE PLAYED AT HIGH VOLUMES IF LOUDSPEAKERS DAMAGE IS TO BE AVOIDED. That "A/V Test" is private (for caution). It can be used only by a contact list (A/V Test) of YT users. To use it, send me a message ( http://www.youtube.com/outbox?to_user=pjoef ), so I can send you a friend invite. If you accept, I can add you to "A/V TEST" contact list.
