Melfort Village: A Scottish vacation village on Loch Melfort, Kilmelford, Argyllshire

This is a tour of Melfort Village and Loch Melfort in Argyllshire, Scotland. Melfort Village is one of the most peaceful places I know. It is at the end of a one-lane road, under the Drium Barr na Collie, where the River Oude flows into Fearnach Bay and Loch Melfort. The village was rebuilt from the buildings used 150 years ago to manufacture gunpowder. Natural stone and whitewashed cottages surround the green where horses ride and dogs and children play. Sheep and cattle from the local farms wander the fields and hills and boats swing at anchor in Loch Melfort. Awesome.
