10.01.2007
BOMB of a Homerun by HS player Devon Quaglietta on 5/18/2006. If you freeze the video you can see the ball hit the top of the tree which is 60 feet beyond the fence & about 70 feet high! Park dimensions are 330 feet down the lines & 410 to center. It was in Minor League Stadium, Waterfront Park home of the AA Trenton Thunder (NY Yankees affiliate) in New Jersey. It was the Mercer County Championship game on 5/18/06 between Notre Dame High & WWPN High. This was the second HR of the game for Quaglietta. It was hit in the last inning to win the County Championship for ND 4-1. Thunder front office said the distance of his HR rivaled the distance of any HR ever hit there which includes all of the Minor League players who have played there. Estimated distance was 440-460 feet. Quaglietta was awarded with the MVP trophy for this tournamnet.
