So here I am in the description box to write down a few important points I didn’t make • My father completely cut off all ties with my mother’s family. And what family he had left, he also cut off. So there was no extended family that I even knew of to go to when this happened. Even now I’m not close with any of my extended family. My father normalized cutting people off. • I experienced way more emotional abuse than physical, but there was a time when my father had been reading my texts. There was one that mention that I was “fapping” to a boy and my father slapped me in the mouth three times for being a “slut”. We were in the car right in front of our neighbor’s house who came out to confront him, he sped off in the car angrily. So I hope this added a little bit more insight.
