This production explores the dire world of human trafficking in the 21st Century via text & movement, integrating real-life testimonies from the women who were victims of the sex trade. Supporting The A21 Campaign (a charity organization fighting against human trafficking), this piece focuses on a character called Erika & her attempt to escape from a world of rape, abuse & greed in this eye-opening production about modern-day slavery. We Have It Productions strive to create challenging & engaging of all kinds, experimenting with different themes & topics to help raise awareness of said issues. This piece takes inspiration from a TV miniseries called Human Trafficking (2005) & Stacey Dooley Investigates Sex Trafficking in Cambodia (2010) as well as having moments of verbatim from real-life testimonies from the women who survived human trafficking. We would like to remind audiences that this piece contains strong swearing & violence that some audience may find offensive or disturbing.
