I had always thought that music on the Wii menus and channels was always streamed, but this was wrong. Getting the sound font and midi is a long and intensive process. I would put the sound font up for download, but I assume that if the people who created the tools to extract it wanted to have there be really easy access, they would have setup a download link. So instead, here is my journey. Learning the details of the process might help you if you try and get a hold of the sound font yourself. I used NUSDownloader to get .app files for the Wii shop channel. I downloaded an older version of the shop. I extracted the BRSAR files using the program Archive Explorer. From there, I used VGMTrans with a patch that gives support for BRSAR files to extract the .sf2 (soundfont) and midi file. I edited the midi file in Musescore, exported them and mixed the audio in Audacity, and added the cheery graphic to the music in Blender. Was it worth it? Maybe. Probably not. Possibly.
