Welcome to Empire: Total War, a turn based strategy game set in the early modern period! The Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth is a peculiar nation in Empire: Total War. Situated in central and eastern Europe, it is not your standard monarchy. Instead, it is a constitutional monarchy where the people have a system of checks and balances on the monarchy. Its location also puts itself in a rather strategic position as nations such as Russia, Austria, Prussia, the Ottoman Empire, and Sweden all desire Polish land. It is our duty not to fall into the pitfalls of European aggression and secure our borders before expanding to the rightful size needed to declare ourselves rulers of the Germanic people of Central Europe as well as the Poles and Swedes.
