Knowing How to Tattoo Lines, excellent and flawless is a crucial skill for every Tattoo Artist. Like many artistic skills this one you can learn on many levels, and with years of experience, you will always want to make it better. In this video, I will do little pig tattoo (not the animal! I am totally against animal cruelty... the pig is a tattoo). You will learn: * How to set up machines and needles for different line weight. * How to deal with tattoo lining problems. Blowouts, wobbly line, uneven line or other imperfections. * Follow the rule of a single pass for the lining. * Lining with rotary machines vs. lining with coil tattoo machines. * Needle depth. Many Tattoo Artists try to run away from the difficult part of learning how to line. They run away from styles requiring this skill, and they hide behind realism. I always thought is not the best strategy. I believe it is crucial to know all the knowledge, obtain all the skills, so you can use those that you feel are the most important for your artwork. That way you will be able to make decisions based on your needs and not being restricted with skills that you possess. As a realist, I do not believe that I am a master on the lining. My shading and rendering skills are in much heavier use on a daily basis. That doesn’t mean that I did not spend time, learning how to line the tattoo efficiently and nicely.
