Carhartt Detroit Store Mural Timelapse - w/ Golden Sign Co. HD

Jordan and Kelly, the two-person team of Detroit-based Golden Sign Co., proved that a small business can have a large impact. When the pair of local artists crossed paths with Carhartt, the city’s newest landmark was born. Golden Sign Co. spent most of their August hand-painting the 55’ x 200’ image depicting the diverse, industrious spirit of Detroit. The mural, painted on the broad side of Carhartt’s new flagship store, towers over Cass Ave. and I-94, serving as a welcome sign to those entering the Midtown neighborhood. Carhartt’s history with the hardworking people of Detroit started in 1889. Now, the mural has woven itself into the fabric of the city, and will leave a legacy long past 2015.
