Jeep TJ Wrangler Odometer Correction with DigiProg 3 HD
How to reprogram the miles on the odometer in a Jeep Wrangler TJ 2002-2006 gauge cluster using a Digiprog 3. This procedure does not apply to the earlier 1997-2001 Wranglers or Cherokees. You will need a Digiprog 3, remove the cluster from the vehicle, and remove the rear plastic cover to access the BDM port on CN4. I soldered a pin header to make this a little easier for testing, but the wires can be soldered directly to the pads as well. Use the pin connection information I provided as text at the bottom of the video for the programming connection. Note that on the white Jeep plug pin 11 needs +12VDC to program, and pin 12 needs +12VDC to power up to view the cluster. When programming mileage you do not need to provide +12VDC to pin 12, but do need to provide +12VDC to pin 11. This information is provided for purposes of odometer correction when a gauge cluster is replaced. Changing mileage in an attempt to make a vehicle appear lower mileage is Odometer fraud which is illegal and carries some very heavy penalties. I do not condone or encourage the act of odometer fraud.
