Built around Eri Kawai`s Devine interpretation of A cruel Angel Thesis It is a also A cruel Angel thesis revamped, A cruel Angel thesis reconstructed. A cruel Angel thesis Rewritten, Recomposed & reimagined. All this in a way so that goes hand in hand with the End of Evangelion and the more serious parts of NGE in general. We wanted to make something special when approaching this project & thanks to Eri Kawai`s Version of “Zankoku na tenshi no tēze” we were able to do that. We asked ourselves: how would the end of the world sound? And this is what we came up with. No bullshit, no synths, nothing that distracts Just a drum set and a choir that set the sky’s ablaze. Beautiful yet cruel like the Anti LCL waves that literally turn the entire human population in EOE to Fanta. We amped up the already church like vibe of Eri`s version a bit and ran with a structure and sound that almost is classical in a way. That’s gangsta because: Hideaki Anno had originally wanted to use a piece of classical music as the opening, but due to concern that this might confuse the anime viewership, a decision was made to use a more upbeat J-pop song instead. A fact we found out about when production was already fully done lol. Over the years countless people deconstructed and analyzed NGE and The End of Eva to the core.
