Vipera Berus in Retezat Mountains, Romania, June 2014 HD

A short movie picturing three individuals of Vipera Berus in the Retezat and Parang Mountains, Romania, two on the road from Nucsoara to Pietrele and one on the road from Petrosani to Brezoi. Each behaved in a most natural and specific way: trying to get away from the invaders, us humans. On few occasions, they tried to scare us away by inflating their bodies to appear more menacing. They are beautiful to watch from a distance. The filming is done with a Canon 550D with a 50 mm Sigma macro lens.
