Billie Eilish & Taylor Swift Win BIG At The MTV VMAs! HD
More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews The 2019 VMAs have come and gone, and if you can’t get “Sucker” or “Senorita” out of your head, you’re not alone… What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News, and all your fave A-Listers showed up in less-than-comfortable attire to sway back-and-forth to songs they only pretend to know… Ok, I’m only partially kidding, but regardless, it was a GOOD night for music during the 36th annual VMAs. Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco hosted the star-studded event, and throughout the night, the moon-people kept a’comin. Best Direction, Best New Artist AND Push Artist of the Year went to Billie Eilish, who seemed to rise up out of nowhere, but nonetheless, this girl is making WAVES and can now call herself a three-time VMA winner in her first year. And surely she is ready to follow in the footsteps of Ariana Grande, who took home Best Art Direction, Artist of the Year and Song of the Summer for her more recent hit “Boyfriend” Monday night, as well as Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, for Best Cinematography and Best Collaboration for “Senorita”, but really guys, if their performance didn’t make you feel all the things, you’re just straight up lying. The moon-person for Best Pop video went to The JoBros for their returning debut hit “Sucker”, and best hip-hop was awarded to Cardi B for her song “Money”. Normani caused me to hit the inhaler for about an hour straight with her performance of “Motivation” but she also took home the VMA for best R&B, and I know this is a lot for me to say, but like, future Beyonce in the making orrrrr?? BTS shut it down in the category of K-Pop winning the VMA for their song “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey. Panic! At The Disco’s return made my middle school borderline-emo-child heart happy with not only getting a nod for Taylor Swift’s award for best Visual Effects in the “ME!” music video, but they took home the moon person for best Rock category as well. Newcomer Lil Nas X sure had a great night last night, as his smash hit “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Rae Cyrus has made waves throughout the duration of the year. He took home two awards for the video, including Best Direction and Song of the Year, and I have a feeling that this song is not yet finished being remixed a few more times… And finally, Taylor Swift’s VMA night was a wild, yet totally tame, not interrupted evening filled with wins, dance moves and presidential callouts. She took home the award for Best Visual Effects in “ME!” and two awards for “You Need to Calm Down” including Video for Good and the highly coveted Video of the Year, and might as well have tacked on Best Shade, because her acceptance speech deserved a few hundred rounds of slow claps... What a great night it was for every nominated and winning artist who deserved massive amounts of praise for their hard work and talent in the industry. Next year, I do expect a sweep from Lizzo though because girl was in the building A
