Planet Explosion - Cinema 4D, After Effects HD

This is my attempt of a planet exploding animation. This animation was created in Cinema 4D with the TurbulenceFD plugin mainly. For the explosion, it required an insane render of 30 hours (1920x1080) for just 48 frames at 30 fps. This uploaded video to YouTube required a 24 Mbps constant bit rate for a smooth viewing to better match source bit rate of the explosion (or 110Mbps). Inhabitants escape before the planet explodes. Spaceship made with Greebler plugin, and flies past the screen at lightning speed which is not really realistic of space flight. CINEMA 4D is a modeling, animation and rendering package developed by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing and rendering.
