TAIPEI, TAIWAN — The sky is falling! The sky is falling! As Chicken Little would say. In Taiwan, Mr. Lin, age 36, and his friends were taking a leisurely stroll when a chunk of brick siding fell from the sky. The brick siding had come lose and nailed Mr. Lin on the left foot. Paramedics and police were called immediately. The police have cordoned off the area beneath the crumbling siding and paramedics took Mr. Lin to the hospital for an X-ray. Mr. Lin has two broken toes, a cracked metatarsal, and a long scrape down his left arm, but other than that--and the scare of his life--he’s doing all right.
