With Josh Brolin‘s Thanos now stepping into the forefront as the villain to end all villains, co-director Anthony Russo revealed that he not only has a big role to play, he’s almost a lead in the film; with his story taking on tones of a heist film as he hunts down the infinity stones. Disney announced yesterday the full cast list and synopsis for their upcoming Lion King live action adaptation and in doing so, finally confirmed Beyonce in the role as Nala. The full cast list now includes Donald Glover as Simba, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner as Pumbaa and Timon, John Oliver as Zazu, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Alfre Woodard as Simba’s mother Sarabi, John Kani as the wise baboon Rafiki, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa. BUY OR SELL In a new interview with the Star Wars Show, head of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy shed some light on their Star Wars’ plans after Episode 9 hits theatres. She revealed that the Star Wars franchise will continue on past Episode IX, for at least “the next 10 years” by even focusing on some of the new characters established in the sequel trilogy. Neon has released the first full trailer for the Tonya Harding biopic I, Tonya. Directed by Lars and the Real Girl’s Craig Gillespie, the film chronicles the life of figure skater Tonya Harding from her rough upbringing to Olympic infamy, tracking the path that led to the violent incident with Nancy Kerrigan. For fans of the upcoming “giant shark” movie, now re-titled ‘The Meg and starring Jason Statham, to be a bloody, R rated action movie from director Jon Turteltaub, you might be a little disappointed.
