The Hero and the disease - The Meaning of Life

Our protagonist is an ordinary person, with an ordinary background, living an ordinary life, with ordinary ambitions - but a cruel fate awaits him: he suffers from paramyloidosis. Paramyloidosis is a rare genetic disease spread by the Portuguese at the time of their great expeditions around the world. There is no cure for paramoidosis and its death rate is almost 100%. In the early stages, legs start to atrophy; in the advanced stages, there is a progressive degeneration of the nerves that control the kidneys and the heart. Paramoidosis, however, does not directly affect the brain, which condemns those who suffer from it to follow its evolution and importantly witness their bodies wither away.Faced with this dreadful diagnosis, our hero embarks on the greatest adventure of his life. His journey is twofold: a voyage of self-discovery and a race against time.
