Asking common questions - SPANISH LEARNING TIPS FOR BEGINNERS - Spanish School
Hi there! My name is Daniela and I am a member of the B.A. Plus staff! Today I will show you some questions which will come in handy. When you are at the store you say, ¿Cuánto cuesta? to ask how much is something, for example ¿Cuánto cuesta el marcador? Once you have selected the product you want to buy you ask ¿Cuánto es? to ask for the final amount, also when you want to ask for the bill at a bar or a restaurant. If you dont feel comfortable about your Spanish yet, you can ask: ¿Hablas ingles?, to ask he or she if they speak English. They will answer: Sí or No. If you are looking for a place and you cant find it, you can ask the people in Buenos Aires who are usually very friendly and will help you for sure! What you want to ask in this situation is ¿Dónde está? For example, if you want to know where the avenue is, you ask: ¿Dónde está la avenida? You may also need this question to ask where the where the restrooms are, at a bar or at a restaurant. In this case, you would say: ¿Dónde está el baño? I hope you find this useful; Im really looking forward to teaching you more common questions at B.A. Plus. ¡Hasta luego!
