Journey Across Jiangnan 跨乐江南 Concert 2022 by Guzheng Association (Singapore) HD

On a wooden boat, you embark on a journey across the southern provinces of China; from Jiangsu to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui and even crossing towards Hunan. In that journey, you hear songs representing various unique genres that depict the picturesque water-towns in Jiangnan. The music culture in Jiangnan has a relatively long history and many different types of music genres are developed with the passage of time. These music genres though scattered across the Jiangnan region, are bonded harmoniously with the refined Wuyue culture. "Journey Across Jiangnan" will bring you on board a musical expedition to feel the beautiful picturesque of Jiangnan landscape. _ Programme: Journey Across Jiangnan features adaptations of traditional music works that are found in the Jiangnan region. The repertoire comprises music genres such as Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo music, Kun Opera, Zhejiang Zheng, Yangzhou Qing Qu, Hunan Flower Drum and Anhui Flower Drum Lantern. 1.
