UhIll be outside the door Call if you need me Nick said. Cherry looked up at him, tears forming in her eyes. She shook her head. Dont leave me! You cant leave me, Nick, You promised. OkI wont go anywhere. He leaned on the wall and slid down until he was sat on the floor by the bath. He rested his arm on the bath and picked up a towel. Nick heard the water moving, but still he didnt turn until he felt Cherrys skin brush against his hand. He immediately turned round and found his face just centimeters away from hers. Hey He whispered. Do I still smell of Joe? She asked quietly. Nick nodded then kneeled up and got the loofa off the side. He dipped it in the warm water and started rubbing her back. She didnt seem at all uncomfortable with Nick seeing her naked. Not as uncomfortable as he was anyway. Th...There you go He stuttered. Your back does uhno longer smell of Joe. Cherry laughed uneasily. Thanks. Nick sat back down and Cherry hugged him. Uh CherryYoure getting me wet Oh well, youre gonna be even more wet in a minute. Cherry stated. What? With that Cherry pulled Nick over the side of the bath and into the water. Gee. Thanks Cherry. He said standing up. She smiled up at him as he glared down at her. Seeing her smile made him melt inside. He couldnt stand his best friend being upset. He smiled back. Its okIll just go get changed. Nick I meanIll just go get clothes He said. Cherry smiled. Thanks Nick got out of the bath and went into his room. Cherry sat there shaking for a while, petrified incase Joe or Kevin came in. A couple of minutes later Nick came back in with a dry pair of Jeans, boxers and a shirt. Can you pass me a towel? Cherry asked. Nick got a fresh towel off the side and passed it to her. She stood up and got out the bath then started to dry herself off. Nick stood there for a moment watching her as her back was to him. He shrugged the thoughts off and stripped so he could dry himself. Cherry wrapped a towel round her body and Nick got changed really quickly. Ill just be outside the door. Ill leave you to um get dressed. Cherry looked at him and after a while nodded. Nick went into his room and sat on his bed. After a while, Cherry sat next to him. Boys! Dinner is ready! Mrs. Jonas called from downstairs. Nick got up to open the door but Cherry grabbed his hand. DontPlease Nick. She pleaded. Im gonna be with you all the time. Youll be ok. Nick reassured her. O...Okay She stuttered. Nick unlocked the door and held his hand out to Cherry who took it without hesitation. Nick and Cherry walked downstairs hand in hand until they got to the kitchen. Hey mom. Nick said cheerily. Mrs. Jonas turned round to her son and saw Cherry. Cherry, I thought you where here. How are you sweetie? She asked. Cherry smiled weakly at Mrs. Jonas then saw Joe and Kevin in the window. She squeezed Nicks hand lightly the said Im fine, thanks, Mrs. J Sweetie. Ive told you before, youre like a daughter to me, call me mom. Ok Cherry said. Good thing I made extra.
