guerlain spiritueuse double vanille vs Tom Ford private blend tobacco vanille HD
My first impression of these 2 fragrances that often get compared to each other. And whats more known as 2 of perhaps the best vanilla fragrances. Which to me in both accounts is a bit strange. My thoughts... Tobacco vanille.... First few hours is to my nose a more manly, rich , version of CK one shock in a way. However where as CK one shock is fizzy, and peppery. This is more spicey, foodish. I get a lot of spicey almost fruitish, with a for lack of better word a inviting cinnamon, that leads to some great cherry. And way way in the background is some tobacco. Almost a christmas vibe even in the background. After a few hours a black and mild smell comes with still hint of cherry and finally some more noticable vanilla. And then as it dries down a cliche sorta vanilla that is in a lot of vanilla fragrances. Nice but to me it wasnt anything amazing strictly speaking vanilla wise. Double vanille... Some vanilla from the cap. And a very strong insense, smokey smell from the initial blast. A step away from a cig almost. Thankfully this goes away and im left with basically 4 hours of a black and mild cigar. A nice smell dont get me wrong. But vanilla is very far in the back for me and very hard to find with out thinking about it. Very insense heavy. A nice smell but I could find this being boring. The same way again black and mild smells good but not sure if I want to smell like it for 4 hours. Nice whatever the case. After that again a more cliche sorta vanilla that I get in a lot of other fragrances. Nothing out there or crazy for me that I smelled from my initial impression. For what its worth both are nice and I wouldnt mind having either if not for the price. https://www.facebook.com/ClaytonSomedude
