HOTDOGS & CUTE DOGS • GSO Food Truck Festival 05.07.17 HD

I went to the Food Truck Festival in Greensboro, NC with Prince Eric and our Floridian friend, Lo! It was mildly disappointing, mostly because it was crowded AF and windy, but there were hotdogs and regular furry dogs. We only stopped at two trucks – Chez Moi (https://www.facebook.com/ChezMoiBakery/) and the Greensboro Grasshoppers’ Hoppin’ Hound Dogs hotdog truck (https://www.facebook.com/hoppinhounddogs/). Eric got the rum cake salted caramel ice cream sandwich and I had a bite (not keto, definitely worth it) as well as the Connie Mack Attack hotdog, wrapped in bacon and topped with mac and cheese, pulled pork, and BBQ -- I sampled to test for poison, obvi. Lo got the Hank Aaron-ing for Spicy dog, topped with pulled chicken, pepper jack cheese, jalapeño, and chipotle mayo. I got the a bunless Catfish Hunter Carolina Dog (topped with chili, slaw, and onions) and the Pete Rose Gambler (topped with chili, onions, and cheddar cheese). The hotdogs were all certified angus beef and keto-friendly, definitely the way to go if you find yourself at a food truck festival! I don’t know the macros on anything, so I tend to stick with food that I know is safe … except for when I help Eric taste his non-keto stuff. Sometimes, you gotta live a little.
