PREVIOUS VIDEO GREEN TEA MATCHA BARS: https://youtu.be/ZddoWpzOg3M NEXT VIDEO MATCHA DONUTS: https://youtu.be/8qoMauK9wF4 English Muffins Recipe 1 cup warm milk 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 1 package of active dry yeast (or 2 1/2 tsp) 1 cup warm water 1/4 cup melted shortening 6 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1.) In a large bowl add in the yeast, a handful of the flour and all of the water. Whisk until it dissolves, add in the melted butter, sugar. Whisk together. Dump in all the four and fold with a spatula, as it comes together add in the salt. Remove from the bowl and place onto the countertop and knead until smooth and elastic for 6-8 minutes. Place in a large clean bowl, cover with saran wrap and let it double in size for one hour. 2.) Punch down the dough to release any excess gas, and knead gently for 10 seconds. Roll the dough flat, 1/2 inch thick. Using a circle cookie cutter, cut out the dough. Place dough onto half sheet pans (I used two) lined with Silpat mats or waxed paper with corn meal sprinkled onto them. Dust the tops with cornmeal also. Cover loosely with saran wrap and let it rise for 30 minutes. 3.) Heat a greased griddle and cook each side for 10 minutes. Break apart the english muffins with your hands. Serve with jam, eggs, and breakfast sausages.
