Kayak Fishing A Scenic Lake Near Phoenix HD

On day two of my trip to Phoenix, my friend Tyler and I loaded up some kayaks and hit a nearby lake - Canyon Lake. This was one of the most scenic lakes I have ever fished on! With steep rocky banks and clear water, I had a ton of fun exploring a new area. The fishing was really tough! After speaking with a local angler, I believe this lake would simply take a lot of practice to figure out. If I would have had more gear, I am confident I could have had a better day. No excuses though! Fortunately, we had a backup option to catch fish. The little apartment complex pond we hit was well worth our time and was a super fun spot to fish.
