EXCLUSIVE PEAK! 1963 Security (by Dover) Hydraulic Elevator - 510 Bay Avenue - Beach Haven, NJ HD

A quick shoutout to Andrew (dieselducy), my good friend and partner in the elevator community. I know you will enjoy this beauty! FILMED TODAY (1 HOUR AGO!) Join me as I take a few rides on the oldest elevator on Long Beach Island. Installed in 1963 as a part of an extensive renovation to the building constructed in 1929, this beauty remains completely original with the exception of the door safeties and an ADA phone add-on. Installed by Security Elevator Company of Pennsylvania using Rotary (Dover) hydraulic equipment, this elevator is currently 50 years old, (to be 51 in October), and should see plenty more years to come. It is a testament to the rise of the low-rise elevator, a staple of hydraulic elevators, and a gem in a retro building setting.
