This step van until a couple of weeks ago was owned by a local fire department in our neighboring state of Louisiana which is about 175 miles from our location, has been maintained properly and simply replaced with a new one because of age not because of any mechanical issues. This low mileage step van was used as a Mobile Command Center by the fire department since new in 1984, step van was special ordered and bodied by Grumman Olson after which the city added a desk with chair in forward cabin along with a sink and toilet facility, behind that is plenty of open space for anything you could pack in, one single storage closet and a space for what appears to be an on-board generator (No generator included), on the outside is a full length retractable awning, can be powered by a generator or plugged into external power, has 110V outlets inside and out. The sink and toilet do not have any type holding tank or way to store the waste water. We purchased the step van directly from the government agency, not from a dealer or broker, simply turning this one into cash. After purchasing we checked the fluids and the tires, cranked it up and drove it 175 miles back to our location, had absolutely no issues or problems, we then washed it and photographed for eBay, engine cranks right up, doesn’t run hot, leak or blow oil and has plenty of power to pull van, transmission is strong and shifts properly, all of the tires look good and can clearly be seen in the photos, both side sliding doors work properly as do the two split door in back, the body of the step van is in excellent shape with no body damage to report, the paint still looks good but is faded in places and you can see the outline where the old decals were removed, the interior of the van is great with both forward seats in excellent condition, some of the paneling in back is starting to wear but can easily be replaced, this van would make a great food truc
