Broncemar Beach Hotel Aparthotel, Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura 11th May 2011

13.05.2011
We had a lovely holiday with Thomas Cook staying at the Sunrise Costa Calma Beach Resort in Costa Calma, Fuerteventura. Unfortunately, when we were on the flight to go home, there was a problem with the plane and we had to return to the airport. As this was the last flight out we were taken to a hotel 10 minutes away in Caleta de Fuste (Costa Caleta). We were taken to the Broncemar Beach and allocated 2 rooms. We had something to eat (leftovers from the evening meal presumably) and headed to our rooms. It was now after 11pm and we wanted to get to sleep with our 2 year old getting naughtier as he became more tired. The first apartment had a dead cockroach in the kitchen and small bugs crawling over the bathroom floor. The second did not have a lock and the door was jammed shut with a table. Once we had complained we were given a 2 bedroom apartment. The floor in the living area was flooded due to a defrosted fridge. This was mopped up once we reported it. The damage had been done and we spent the night awake and scratching. There is also no air conditioning in this place. You can see by this video that the balcony area is far from safe, the rooms are very grubby and if I had booked this hotel for our holiday I would be moving elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and try somewhere else to avoid disappointment.
