How to Soundproof and Seal a Door DIY HD

In this video we will show you how to soundproof a door diy by essentially creating a soundproof door. How to soundproof your door is an upgrades that is much simpler than it’s made out to be. We do not want noise leaking between the two units so we are soundproofing a room by soundproofing a wall (with the door on the other side). The below instructions should reduce the sound travelling between neighboring suites. All you need is a single trip to your local hardware store and less than an hour of your time. How to soundproof a door cheap? We have accomplished our soundproofing job in only 3 steps using noise-resistant drywall and insulation, along with silicon to seal everything in place. We used the following materials: 1. 5/8″ Quiet Rock Drywall: This drywall is much more dense than it’s regular counterpart. As such, sound travel is much less distinct. 2. Safe ‘n Sound Rockwool Insulation: This insulation breaks down and captures soundwaves similar to a soundproofing foam 3. Xtrabond25 Interior Silicone: To finish us off, this silicone helps to seal the opening left behind from the new wall. This is the brand I use for projects similar as it can be sanded and painted over, resulting in a seamless seal.
