TMoHS 05. Disappearances and Dipshits (1/3)
Haruhi, not satisfied with the explanation that Miss Psycho-Bitch, ahem, I mean Ryoko Asakura, transferred out, does a little bit of investigating with her best buddy Kyon, much to his chagrin. Whats wrong with him, anyway? Is he gay or something? Hes got the most beautiful girl in school dragging him around, what a dipshit. In the process, she smashes her foot in a door and learns about the unreliability of old, doddering men. We also see the obligatory flashback scene of Haruhis troubled past, and later, the Cloverfield Monster makes his cameo appearance in front of Koizumi and a baffled Kyon. Unfortunately for it, there is no Statue of Liberty or Slusho! to be found, so he succumbs to Koizumi and his ghosty-friends. Despite the title, this is actually The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, episode 5, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Part V. I dont own any rights to it or I would be jumping, jumping, jumping for joy. Which would be a strange sight, since Im a guy :) DISCLAIMER! The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was broadcast out of order on Japanese television (kinda like Hidamari Sketch! and Rental Magica), and it was quite unexpected and hilarious. When Kyoto Animation, a company known for their unorthodox anime practices, was confronted about the change, they gave the excuse that Haruhi came and switched the episodes around. Whether she really did or not remains a mystery (J), but the fact is that now we have to deal with this confusingness. So Ill try and explain. The DVD order is, for the most part, the chronological order of the episodes to where they make more sense, the only exception being that 0 is actually 11 chronologically. That being said, if you want to watch it in its broadcast order the way it was intended (and its worth it, trust me), wait for me to upload all the episodes, and then watch them in this order: 0, 1, 2, 7, 3, 9, 8, 10, 13, 4, 12, 11, 5, 6. You wont regret it, and will likely be much more satisfied with the final episode. Or you could, yknow, buy the Limited Edition DVDs like I did, which come with the broadcast order on separate discs, and not have to wait. Cool boxes and extras too, you can see my reviews of them on my RamenPoodle account. Your choice, but I always advocate supporting the R1 industry, its not doin so hot right now. I suggest you do the same, so we can continue to have great anime. Enjoy!
