USA: Washington shootout throws Capitol Hill into lockdown HD

Police shot and killed a woman driver who rammed a security barrier outside the White House in Washington D.C. Thursday, before leading authorities on a high speed car chase near Capitol Building which left one police officer wounded. Multiple gun shots were reported by witnesses at around 2pm causing Capitol police to shut down access to the hill. Members of the House went into recess and left the building in response to the warning. Security forces also released a warning for local people to stay in their homes and away from doors and windows.
