Panda mama Hua Mei and her son enjoy family time

Super star Hua Mei was born August 21, 1999 in San Diego Zoo. She was relocated to China in 2004. As of 2011 she has given birth to eight baby pandas. Name of Hua Mei (华美 in simplified Chinese or 華美 in traditional Chinese) means different things in Chinese language: 1) "China and USA"; 2) splendid beauty, magnificent; 3) beautiful blossom that brings fruits (she got 8 babies alreay). Best panda name ever!
