...Am I even supposed to be here? I know these eerie image/liminal space movement videos are supposed to be fun and meme-y if anything, but I like the artistic merit behind them. They give off a specific tangible emotion that is weirdly familiar to a lot of people In order to evoke a particular uncanny feeling of isolation along with the track, I selected images based on these descriptions: -Empty indoor corridors, lobbies and atriums -Dim or uneven lighting -No natural light -Bland surfaces -Minimalist with little or no intractability; no text, furniture, machinery, etc. -Unkept or isolated -Industrial looking spaces with a lack of coziness; no carpeted floor, wallpaper, patterns, stylization, etc. -Little contrast of color; lack of bright colors -Spaces large enough to fit with the acoustics of the track, but not large enough to feel overwhelming, yet small enough to feel claustrophobic in -The spaces serve no apparent purpose -No focal point -Harsh disconnect from the outside world; few or no windows and doors-- no signs, posters, plants, advertisements, artwork or entertainment -Gives off the impression that other people hardly visit these spaces, if they even visit them anymore I know these images don’t fit in with all of these descriptions most of the time, but they do a good job of capturing the tone regardless I took the images from the r/backrooms and r/LiminalSpace subreddits Self-Esteem Fund, from the Portal OST by Kelly Bailey
