759. Mangwani Mpulele (Traditional Sotho)
This Sotho song was sung by Theodore Bikel, and also recorded by the KIngston Trio. The words are very simple and repetitive, and may be translated as follows: Mmangwani mpulele ke nnelwa ke pula = Aunt, open the door for me, I am getting wet with rain. Le haele mule, le haele mula kinelwa kitula = Whether it is here, whether it is there, I am getting wet with rain. Though some sources give the second line as: Fa di le pedi fa di le tharo ke batla mosad Lyrics and chords of this song can be found here: http://www.raymondfolk.com/page/Mangwani+Mpulele+%28Zulu%29 You can see a playlist of my songs from Asia, Africa and the Middle East here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=3EA30970DB19283E For lyrics and chords of all my songs, please see my website: http://raymondfolk.wikifoundry.com
