Hello one and all, welcome to another matchday vlog. This video shows highlights of Chester FC’s 4-0 win at home against City Of Liverpool in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round. In general we more than deserved this win which sees us go 6 matches unbeaten. This was another team performance as nobody put in a bad shift. Fair play to them though, City Of Liverpool provided us with a good game and I think they’ll do really well this season. We had to be patient to really get going, but eventually we reaped our rewards. Our opponents made things tough for us at times in the first half, before John Pritchard scored two quick-fire goals to ensure that we went into the break with a comfortable lead. After half time we played much better as our superior fitness levels proved to be effective. We dominated the second half which saw young lad Iwan Murray score a deserved goal after a mesmerising display. Academy player Cain Noble put the gloss on the scoreline to make it 4 - another local lad who has the potential to go onto bigger things. We haven’t lost a game at home so far, hence we are seriously turning the Deva into a fortress. I’m now looking forward to seeing who we will get in the next round tomorrow afternoon, although I will be in Iceland for our next FA Cup game. Next up is a tough trip to Chorley next week.
