Improvisation on the Introit for the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Quarr Abbey HD
This is the Viscount Choir organ of Quarr Abbey, on the Isle of Wight. Quarr is a monastery of Solemnes Benedictines, and the community is very welcoming. The video was recorded during private practice time, but a day later I was honoured to be asked by the Superior to play for the Sunday Mass. It was a privilege. Out of interest, there is also a beautiful Cavaille Coll organ in the gallery. I am led to believe that works on the instrument are on-going. Venite, adoremus Deum, et procidamus ante Dominum: ploremus ante emu, qui fecit nos: quia ipse est Dominos Deus noster. Psalm: Venite, exsultemus Domino: iubilemus Deo salutario nostro. Come, let us worship God and bow down before the Lord; let us shed tears before the Lord who made us, for he is the Lord our God. Psalm: Come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise unto God our Saviour.
