So I was out at an event and I was teaching about consent and I was like “you know, how can you tell if a woman want’s to have sex with you?” and one of the younger guys comes up to me and said “I know a woman wants to have sex with me if her nipples get hard” and I was like “no.” I was like, “I can walk outside right now and that can happen.” I feel like if I wasn’t there talking to him about that and we weren’t close in age and from the same community I think he would have felt embarrassed to ask that question. Just to be able to teach people and clarify things. People feel comfortable to ask me questions — I think that’s like the coolest thing about this job.
