Lorenzo Riva Prt--Porter Collection Fall Winter 2011 2012
Feel the atmosphere of the late sixties: a new look at the colourful Rnee Zellweger in "Down with love", with one eye to the delicacy of Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde", an original combination showing mainly trapezoidal shapes, from roll collar coats to tent dresses, often with a double length effect or contrast edge. In contraposition, straight, tube dresses, with mash-up fabrics. Geometrically cut jackets with basque or double neck effect. Trousers with bell bottoms or decorated with bows. Long dresses are straight, with just a suggestion of a train, and again geometric cut effects, even in lairs, or else decorated with leaf appliques. As for the fabrics: intertwined mat and boucl, with micro polka dot or fringe effects, lace wool applications either in black or various tones of grey. Maxi Prince of Wales check in black and white. Velour and cashmere for grey or camel colour coats with short fur spotted collars. Wool crepes in bright green or cornflower blue. And, of course, cady, usually black but with the occasional red, matched with lace or velvet. As for the prints: large flowers for silk or wool, and spotted in twill. Matelass with embossed effect in the red/fuchsia combination. Bright effects of Mikado style silk in red, emerald green, or black, paired with macram lace and black laminated viscose. Organza, white for smart layered blouses or black, embroidered with large leaves, motley or open worked flowers, for cocktail and evening dresses.
