Top 10 Things I Hate About Cal Poly SLO HD
TOP 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT CAL POLY SAN LUIS OBISPO!! 10. Library; there are never enough places to study in the place, and not to mention if you need to plug in your phone or laptop, good luck find a spot. 00:28 9. Parking; THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK, EVER 1:07 8. Wifi; The wifi across campus always seems to have issues. Whether it be connectivity problems during class change or just weak signals in classrooms or walking around campus. Poly really needs to step it up in this department. 1:14 7. Campus Police; the police here on campus spend most of their time writing parking tickets and giving unfair tickets to people riding longboards and bikes. This is something that just really gets on my nerves because you would think they could spend their time more wisely. 1:24 6. Administration; this is a long one. I really have a lot of beef with the administration here at Cal Poly. They seem to really only care about the bottom dollar. Anything they can do to reduce costs from removing grass around campus to reduce water costs, not giving teachers the appropriate amount of pay to regain retention, to even up charging on food and making you pay for little b.s. service fees. 1:39 5. Food; this has always been a problem at this school. If you look at any type of documentation online kids always complain about the food options at Cal Poly. In recent years they have tried really hard to put in new and healthier food options, and are slowly building more. Good thing I was here for the glory years of having to eat the not so good food… 2:24 4. School Spirit; this hits deep. When you think college, you think sporting events, sporting games, getting down on Saturday at the tailgate party. Not here, the sheer size of school spirit at most events for students is pretty nonexistent. You have to hit the UCSB soccer game to get any real action. 3:01 3. Health Center Waiting Time; I can’t tell you how much I’ve just avoided the health services here on campus because I don’t want to wait in the walk in line. I’m not kidding when I say it takes 3+ hours. 3:39 2. On Campus Housing; when I came to SLO in fall of 2013 I was stuck with living in the Cerro Vista Apartments where they decided to convert a 4 person apartment into a 6 person living area. It was very cramped and they are still facing housing issues for the number of freshman they admit every year. 4:02 1. Too Many Students, Not enough resources to support them; you need to just go watch what I have to say about this one. It’s really a combination of everything I addressed in the video, Cal Poly just falls short on supporting the size of the student body they wish to accommodate. 5:08 //SOCIAL MEDIA: https://www.instagram.com/nature_of_matt/ https://www.facebook.com/matthew.davis.372019 https://twitter.com/mtMatters //Original Music: NICOLAI HEIDLAS Summertime (REDUX) https://soundcloud.com/nicolai-heidlas/summertime-redux-royalty-free-upbeat-ukulele-background-music
