Fazilat of Surah Yaseen from Madani Panj Surah 1. It is reported by Sayyiduna Ma’qil bin Yasar رضي الله عنه that the Knower of the Unseen, the Noble Sultan of Madinah ﷺ has stated, ‘Surah Yasin is the heart of the Quran; whoever reads it for the pleasure of Allah عزوجل and for the betterment of his Hereafter will be granted forgiveness. (Musnad Imam Ahmad, pp. 286, vol. 7, Hadiš 20322) 2. It is reported by Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه that the Holy Prophet ﷺ has stated, ‘Without doubt, everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Surah Yasin. Whoever recites Surah Yasin once, the reward of reciting the entire Quran ten times will be written for him.’ (Sunan-ut-Tirmizi, pp. 406, vol. 4, Hadiš 2896) 3. It is narrated by Sayyiduna Hassan bin ‘Atiyah رضي الله عنه that the Beloved and Blessed Prophet ﷺ has stated, ‘In the Taurat [Torah], the name of Surah Yasin is مُعِمَّةٌ (Mu’immah), because it brings every goodness of this world and the Hereafter for the one who recites it, and it relieves him from the afflictions of this world and the Hereafter, and it secures him from the horrors of the world and the Hereafter. 4. It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنه that the Embodiment of Nur, the Beloved and Blessed Prophet ﷺ has stated, ‘It is my wish for Surah Yasin to be present in the heart of every person from my Ummah.’ (ibid, p. 38) 5. It is reported by Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه, that the Prophet of Rahmah, the Intercessor of Ummah, the Owner of Jannah ﷺ has stated, ‘Whoever regularly recites Surah Yasin every night and then passes away will die as a martyr [Shahid].’ (ibid, p. 38) 6. It is reported by Sayyiduna ‘A.a bin Abu Raba3 Tabi’i رضي الله عنه , that the Holy Prophet ﷺ has stated, ‘Whoever recites Surah Yasin at the start of the day, all of his needs will be fulfilled.’ (ibid, p. 38) 7. Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنه has stated, ‘Whoever recites Surah Yasin in the morning will be granted relief during that day until the evening, and whoever recites it at the beginning of the night will be granted relief during that night until the morning.’ (ibid, p. 38) 8. It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ma’qil bin Yasar رضي الله عنه has stated, ‘Surah Yasin is the heart of the Quran. Whoever recites this blessed Surah for (pleasure of) Allah عزوجل and for the sake of the Hereafter, his previous sins will be forgiven, so recite this before those who are dying.’ (ibid, p. 38) 9. It is narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه that the Prophet of mankind, the peace of our heart and mind, the most generous and kind ﷺ has stated, ‘If Surah Yasin is recited before someone who is dying, Allah عزوجل deals with him mercifully (in taking his soul).’ (ibid, p.38) 10. It is narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Qilabah رضي الله عنه , recites Surah Yasin will be forgiven; whoever recites it at the time of eating when the food is insufficient, food will suffice for him; if it is recited near a dying person, Allah عزوجل will be kind with him
