ETO or Ɛtɔ (etor) is a local Ghana food made either with semi-ripe plantain or cocoyam or yam. It is normally mashed and mixed with ground pepper/onion, groundnut paste, palm oil and garnished with groundnut, pear, and cooked egg. ETO is normally eaten in the Southern part of Ghana and is eaten on festival occasions but it now incorporated into daily Ghana cuisine. There are three types of ETO and they are : Yam Eto, plantain or mashed plantain eto recipe and cocoyam Eto.
