The Angh (King) HD

It was 31st January 2018, I went to attend my friend L. koshih’s wedding ceremony at Chenwetnyu Village under Mon Town. Fortunately, as I was on the way to the Church I met The Angh (King) of the village at his porch. I got a precious time to talk personally with him. I, being an Ao, the story of Angh was so rare to me since in modern Ao society there is no more Angh system in our areas. I have learned a lot not only from his speech but from the art and sculptures at his house and in the village areas. The clothing’s, ornaments and tattoos etc. are so rare and original which is incomparable with the artificial customs of fiction movies’. I don’t have much idea about him but Shri TOLEI ANGH of Chenwetnyu village is a God fearing person. He is the head of the village. He used to call up meeting at his house along with the village elders for discussion relating to the village developmental programme, political issues or in the field of Agricultural cultivation. And before proceeding anything in regard to the village he has the authority to grant. I am sharing this as I was mesmerized by the unique system of Angh and I want you guys also to witness this short video.
