Germany: Over 5 million diesel cars to be fitted with cleaner software – Transport Minister HD

Major German car manufacturers Volkswagen, Daimler and BMW committed to upgrading over 5 million diesel cars, during an emergency ‘Diesel Summit’, in Berlin, on Wednesday. During the press conference, Federal Minister for Transport Alexander Dobrindt discussed the "urgent necessity that we take measures within cities in order to reduce NOx and stay within the limits." He said, "5.3 million vehicles in total should be modified. That was the commitment made by the automobile industry today."
