Heavy Trucks On Hume Hwy in Riverina Pt2 HD

23.07.2018
A further selection of Semi-trailers & B-Doubles travelling (mostly) north on the Hume Highway in New South Wales, Australia. The Hume Highway is the main road linking Sydney in NSW with Melbourne in Victoria and is approximately 840kms of (minimum) dual carriageway. From just south of Liverpool on the outskirts of Sydney for the next approx 780km the speed limit is a continuous 110kph except for a 500m section near Wodonga on the state borders, although vehicles over 4.5t are restricted by law to a maximum speed of 100kph. Road haulage plays a big part in the long distance transport of goods throughout Australia, even where the roads run almost in parallel with railway lines between major centres.
