060517 HPD PURSUIT TO CONROE

Just after noon on Monday Houston Police attempted to stop a silver Buick at 1415 W. Gulf Bank in north Houston. THe vehicle had no license plates. The driver failed to stop and sped to I-45. Once on I-45 a pursuit including DPS, HPD and HCSO continued to Crighton where the driver exited and then got back on the freeway. He then exited Wilson Road after missing spikes that had been set up. As he exited Wilson Road he hit the protective barrels. The driver was finally stopped in front of the Weisner Dealership just south of the Wilson Road intersection. The driver told police he just bought the vehicle but had no paperwork. Police believe it was stolen and had not been reported.
