“Toothless’s Hellfire” | A HTTYD2 Fan Song

28.09.2014
No copyright infringement intended I OWN NOTHING!!! THIS IS A FAN MADE PROJECT THAT WAS IN NO WAY MADE FOR PROFIT!!! A couple days ago, I was listening to SweetPoffin’s beautiful cover of “Hellfire” and became absolutely obsessed with it. While I did so, I began to think about Toothless’s horrible brainwashing and what Drago Bludvist made him do (Fuck you, Drago! *flips the double bird*). In light of that, my brain brewed up lyrics told entirely from the perspective of Toothless’s consciousness while he is under the control of Drago’s Bewilderbeast after being taken away. At the same time, however, these lyrics describe my feelings on the issue. What pains me is that there are people in the HTTYD fandom who blame Toothless for what happened. While it may physically appear that way, it wasn’t so mentally- and emotionally-wise, and such people fail to see that truth. I have asserted this message on my deviantART page, and I will keep doing so: Toothless had no voluntary, premeditative drive to kill Stoick whatsoever, and he wasn’t even the intended target to begin with. Drago MADE HIM turn on Hiccup, but it’s blatantly obvious that he had no drive to kill him either. He would never hurt either one of them. Besides, he didn’t even know what happened when he was released from the Bewilderbeast’s control. His conscious mind was in a totally different place, and when he saw the result of the deed he did not mean to commit, the regret could be clearly seen on his face. He even tried to express to Hiccup that he was sorry when he pushed him away, and while that wrenched more tears from me, it also really pissed me off because even Hiccup clearly knew beforehand that Toothless was under the Bewilderbeast’s thumb. I sympathize with the fact that he was filled with grief over his father’s death and found it inconceivable that he would die at the hand of his dragon, but good God, how could he have forgotten that it wasn’t Toothless’s fault so damn quickly?! As much as I love and respect Hiccup, I wanted to yell a shit-ton sense at him. Anyway, I have taken the liberty to defend Toothless’s innocence and honor by giving him a voice on the matter. He is repenting over what he had no control over while also affirming that it wasn’t his fault, although he must sadly live with it for the rest of his life. I can only now ask my friends and fellow fans if they will be willing to spread this song around, to give it the attention it deserves and to prove that they see the truth in what happened and still love Toothless unconditionally. And if by any chance anyone would like to sing this song, then go right ahead. I’m really anticipating that to be done as well. Ignorance has blinded other fans, embedding in them the fallacy that Toothless is a killer and a monster. I have absolutely zero tolerance for that. Toothless has a heart of gold, and an immaculate soul, and he must not be crucified for Drago Bludvist’s heinous sin. As for Hiccup, he came to accept th
