(Read the letter here: http://differenttruths.com/cover-story/open-letter-from-an-ailing-mother-to-her-children-in-the-us/ ) "I want you to look at the letter. It is literature … it is something that everybody should read, to reflect on their own life and then how every hour should be spent in prayer and in consciousness. Not just become unconscious, just pulled by the senses and become victim to the senses finally." ~ Dr. Pillai Summary Transcript, Dr. Pillai: This again is another video connected to the videos I have been doing for the past two days or three days. That is taking a note of the passage of time. Time is a thief. And this is a very moving, moving video as far as I am concerned that I have ever done. Because it tells a moving story. It’s a response to a Facebook video that I just saw. It’s entitled as, “Open Letter From An Ailing Mother.” The mother stays in India and writing to her children in the US. It is the frustration of the mother living all by herself in India. She uses phrases like that remind me of Shakespeare. Because, you know, because my specialty is British and American literature. And then she’s, she’s not all that miserable, except that the body has gone through diseases and pain, and she couldn’t do anything on her own. Now, that touched me — feeling lonely, all by yourself. And I can relate to that. That is pretty much the American culture.... When I was reading the letter, and I think everybody should go and read the letter, what did I learn from that letter? I just reflected on a 6th Century Saint, Tamil Saint who just left this earth plane, turned his body into Light and left the earth plane. And he wrote many poems — hymns to Lord Siva. And in which he talked about what is in the future for him, while he was still 7, 8, 9, 10 years old. “One day I’m going to be crippled. One day I’m going to lose my teeth. One day the cataract will come and block my vision and I won’t be able to see. The skin will become repulsive to see, shrunken. And there won’t be any energy for me to walk. So these
