CZ SA Vz.58

Loading and firing Vz.58, 7.62x39. Bolt hold open, selector lever within easy reach of the trigger finger, short stroke piston and much larger ejection port are some Czech innovations that set this apart from an AK. The Vz.58 has a milled receiver yet still weighs less than a stamped AKM. The bolt has guides on the front end to use SKS-type magazine charger clips to refill the magazine - this eliminates the need for a separate clip guide to fill magazines quickly. With the large ejection port the weapon can be loaded through the top like an SVT-40 when the bolt is locked to the rear. The bolt hold open button is just ahead of the trigger guard on the underside of the receiver.
